Utilize Yelp, Facebook, or even Angie's List to find the person you can trust. Set aside time to research everything you possibly can about the company or individual. Check out their previous jobs and why people would hire them. You'll be glad you did. | |

2. Lighting?Lighting in a room can do so much more then you can imagine! It can create a room to look more spacious, cause colors to bright up, it can even affect the atmosphere! Know what type of lightning is best for your space. If you don't know, get a professional to help. | 3. Skipping The Prep WorkYou never want to skip the prep work! You should take pride in your home and that means preparing it properly. Do things the right way from the beginning. It will save you from having to re-do projects. |

Second, the wrong tools can expand the time spent on the project. Lastly, of course your tools can be ruined! Another waste of money trying to replace bad tools. Just imagine having doorways that can barely fit you, and you would totally agree why it's a big NO. |
14. Prepare For The UnexpectedIt happens! You start gutting the bathroom and you find mold! Or you can be changing a light fixture and you now need to change the wiring in the entire house. It never fails! So you must be prepared for the worst or you might be left with an unfinished project. | 15. Not Updating Electrical SystemsElectrical codes change often and you always want to make sure that it is up to standards. It may be costly but like everything, it will save you from having future unexpected issues. |
